Show & Tell – Photography

A collection of diverse photography projects showcasing creative portrait, landscape, and editorial photography. Show & Tell is a cultural portrait project celebrating the beauty of traditional attire from around the world. Featured here are five models representing the rich heritage of the Philippines, Pakistan, Nepal, and India, each captured in vibrant detail to highlight their distinctive clothing, accessories, and cultural identity.

One highlight of this collection is Show & Tell, a cultural portrait photography project that celebrates the beauty and diversity of traditional attire from around the world. This series was created with the intention of not only capturing striking visual images but also preserving and sharing the heritage, craftsmanship, and symbolism embedded in these garments.

Show & Tell features five models representing the rich heritage of the Philippines, Pakistan, Nepal, and India. Each model was photographed in traditional clothing unique to their cultural background, accompanied by accessories, jewellery, and fabrics that tell their own stories. Every detail, from intricate embroidery to handcrafted ornaments, was captured in vibrant, high-resolution imagery to highlight the artistry and cultural significance of each piece.

The Philippines is represented with elegant barong-inspired attire, a symbol of national pride and history. Pakistan’s representation includes a refined kurta design, reflecting the blend of cultural traditions and modern tailoring. Nepal’s traditional dress is captured in intricate detail, showcasing layers of ornate jewellery and woven fabrics that reflect centuries of craftsmanship. India’s heritage is conveyed through richly coloured textiles and embellishments, symbolising celebration, community, and tradition.

Through Show & Tell, the project aims to bridge visual artistry and cultural appreciation, allowing viewers to connect with diverse heritages in a modern, respectful context. The portraits invite audiences to see clothing not only as fashion but as a living archive of identity, history, and artistry. This project is both a visual celebration and a reminder of the importance of cultural preservation through photography.
